Diane Leonard, American painter, is one of America's most highly respected contemporary impressionists. Raised in Boston, Massachusetts, she has the privilege of being one of only twenty-five members of the Society of American Impressionists. A self-taught artist, her work is exhibited worldwide and her first One-Woman Show in Nagano, Japan was a huge success. She has exhibited in numerous shows throughout the United States and abroad. Diane has studied with Bettina Steinke and Helen Van Wyk.
Leonard has been painting for most of her life. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, her works have been exhibited worldwide for more than three decades. Her most recent major success was a one-man show in Nagano, Japan where her work continues to be very much in demand.
Her work has been selected for exhibition in the prestigious Great American Artists show in Cincinnati, Ohio and is in a number of permanent collections including those of the Dante Alighieri Museum in Cambridge, MA, the Long Beach Museum of Art, CA and the University of Arizona Collection. Her beautiful color harmonies and masterly interpretations of light are the key components of her style that give her work an enduring quality that attracts collectors across the globe.
