After Edinburgh, Italian fashion label Missoni has opened its second luxury property. Missoni’s newest luxury hotel is located in Kuwait City and is part of Symphony Centre, a premier luxury shopping destination.
Rosita Missoni, the company’s creative director, and Graven Images, a Glasgow-based interior designer, are responsible for the hotel’s look. New hotel in Kuwait City is dominated by turquoise and gold, while the famous stripes and zig-zags adorn furniture in each room.The hotel features 169 rooms including 63 suites, all of which allow guests to enjoy magnificent views of the Gulf. Each room includes the latest Bang & Olufsen TVs, generous bath products, laptop connections and high-speed WiFi, and all suites are equipped with Magic Mirrors that allow guests to switch their bathroom mirror into a TV. In addition, Missoni branded bed linens add a special touch to the luxury hotel’s plush interior decor.
With a pool overlooking the Persian Gulf, the elite hotel offers Arabic and Mediterranean dining in the Cucina, Luna, restaurant and pastries and chocolates in the Choco Cafe. Guests can unwind in the sixth-floor Six Senses Spa which has 11 treatment rooms and make-up studio.
The collaboration between Rezidor Hotel Group and the Missoni Italian fashion house will also include the Hotel Missoni Jebel Sifah in Oman, which is scheduled to open in 2013. The Hotel Missoni IIha de Cajiba in Brazil is currently under development; and the Hotel Missoni, Antalya in Turkey was launched recently and also opens in 2013.
